The East African colony currently covers an area of about 1.2 million square kilometers, including all of Tanzania and most of Kenya (the north is the sphere of Arab and indigenous influence).

The area has exceeded that of the previous German East African colonies. Because there are many indigenous countries in the western part of the Great Lakes region and the population is relatively dense, it has not been annexed by the East African colonies for the time being.

In this large area, there are about 200,000 immigrants, including nearly 50,000 immigrants from the Austrian Empire in recent months, and the rest are Chinese.

The East African colonies benefited from the current transformation of the Austrian Empire into the Austro-Hungarian Empire and the relatively turbulent domestic situation. In the first month, they absorbed about 30,000 immigrants from the Austrian Empire. It has now declined, to about 3,000 per month. Due to the shortage of manpower in the Alaska colony, Chinese immigrants were diverted. Now the number of Chinese immigrants coming to East Africa every month has stabilized at about 10,000.

But Alaska does not need a large population. If it is around 30,000, Ernst will no longer support its population migration. By then, the number of Chinese immigrants to East Africa is estimated to be stable at around 15,000 per month.

Coupled with the fact that most of the immigrants from the East African colonies are farmers, their fertility is in the first echelon at the same time, basically doubling every year. After all, there is more land to raise children, and the colonies pay more attention to health issues, so the mortality rate is low. .

Not to mention the old immigrants who had been living in East Africa for some time, even the new immigrants from the Austrian Empire also joined the birth force.

However, this population is still not enough compared to the nearly two to three million natives in the East African colonies.

The grassland area is too large, animals are overrun, the climate and environment are so good, and wild fruits can satisfy their hunger, so the indigenous people still have room to survive after being deprived of a large amount of high-quality land by the East African colonies.

In Ernst's view, these are all hidden dangers. Only by clearing out all the indigenous people in the current East African colonies can Ernst be half relieved.

However, after a year of exhausting slave hunting operations, Zanzibar's slave traders had only digested 200,000 natives, which was a drop in the bucket.

This is because it has seized a large number of slave markets in the Middle East. Even the Ottoman Empire ushered in a wave of small development under the influence of this wave of cheap slave trade, which greatly alleviated the dilemma of labor loss caused by ethnic conflicts and had a negative impact on domestic production. Other ethnic groups were more severely repressed.

The East African colonies currently face three problems. One is gender imbalance. Unlike the Austrian immigrants who brought their families, there were a large number of single men among the early Chinese immigrants. This is a destabilizing factor for future East African rule.

The second is the ethnic imbalance. The proportion of Chinese is too high. Immigration from the Austrian Empire can only alleviate this situation. In order to truly solve this problem, in Ernst's opinion, the ratio of yellow and white populations must at least reach 28%. After all, from later generations, black Americans Only accounting for a little over 10% of the population, if they dare to engage in affirmative action, the different races in the East African colonies must at least exceed this bottom line.

After the Austrian Empire was completely reduced to the Austro-Hungarian Empire, after this period of chaos, the number of immigrants from the Austro-Hungarian Empire may not be able to maintain the current data.

Now that the East African colonies have added a large number of immigrants from the Austrian Empire, some Chinese immigrants have been forced to learn German in their daily lives.

The ratio of yellow and white races is about a healthy three to one, but more than half of these immigrants from the Austrian Empire did not know German. Therefore, this data is very watery for the colonial government that wants to implement German education in East Africa, and some even only Immigrants from the Austro-Hungarian Empire who could speak a few simple words in German were also classified as German-speaking people.

The third is the huge number of black indigenous people in the country. The land completely controlled by the East African colonies actually only accounts for 20% of the area of the East African colonies. These are places with fertile water and soil and convenient transportation.

Black tribes in other places evenly occupy the remaining 80% of the land.

Therefore, the current population problem faced by the East African colonies is how to solve the above three problems.

In order to solve these three problems, Ernst generally formulated three policies.

The first is to invest in the establishment of a wedding company to purchase slaves from the Sultanate of Zanzibar in the name of cross-border marriage. This is mainly aimed at the Middle East, especially the Ottoman Empire. The purpose is Armenian women in the Ottoman Empire. Of course, if the Sultan of Zanzibar If the country had enough power, it wouldn't matter if they could get women from other Arab regions. Anyway, if Ernst was willing to pay for the money, he could even replace them with black slaves, at a rate of five to one or even twenty to one.

Ernst believed that based on the ethics of the Ottoman Empire, they would most likely agree. After all, it was all about making money. If the population of the opposing ethnic groups could be eliminated through non-massacre, why not make some money? At that time, not only the Armenians, but also the Kurds, Greeks, and Christian populations... it is estimated that the unscrupulous Ottomans will all be sent out.

After all, this is not a slave trade, this is a marriage introduction, and it is hard for Western countries to criticize, as long as the unified caliber is "free love."

Of course, this policy will not only be implemented in the Middle East. Ernst will also seek help from his old friends, the Dutch, who have a large number of colonies in the Far East. If you are making money, you can't forget your friends.

Second, there is currently no good solution. Now that Europe has begun to move toward a short-term state of peace, it is not easy to operate. We can only increase the deception on the original basis and collect as much scraps as possible from the immigrants going to the Americas.

The third, which is the most important task in the East African colonies in the next year, is to collect all the black indigenous people in the colonies and exile them to the west of the Great Lakes region, Burundi, Rwanda and Uganda.

Since the Zanzibar Sultanate could not absorb so many slaves, Ernst could only send them to the west of the Great Lakes region to consume the power of the indigenous countries there.

After all, their land is limited and their population is large. After the East African colonies drove out a large number of indigenous people, the two waves of people with different cultures and systems will definitely be confused.

Ernst could take this opportunity to eliminate at least one-third of the indigenous people. As for escaping further west, there is the Congo rainforest. Even in modern society, the tropical rainforest is a restricted area for humans. It is hard to say whether you can survive if you enter.

This third plan actually has the meaning of driving the tiger to devour the wolf, but to put it the other way around, it means sending the sheep into the tiger's mouth, and you will die if you don't want to.

After all, the indigenous countries living in the Great Lakes region are not good. Compared with the many indigenous people in the East African colonies who are still in primitive societies, their slave countries are already quite developed.

Needless to say, the methods used by slave-owning countries to deal with overpopulation need not be elaborated. Referring to the Shang Dynasty in the Far East, most of them would adopt physical means to balance the population size. What’s more, these East African colonial natives are not as good for the indigenous countries west of the Great Lakes region. It's like ancient Rome facing the Germanic barbarians.

All in all, the current focus of the East African colonial government is no longer to continue expansion, but to secure the land in its hands first.

While driving out the natives, they stabilized the colonial population structure and filled the vast lands of the East African colonies with immigrants.
