Warhammer: From Planetary Governor

Chapter 18 Bishop Donnie

"Your Majesty the God Emperor, how could I dare to do such a blasphemous thing!"

Bayev was shocked when he heard Ron's inquiry. He obviously respected the God Emperor and the church here.

He looked at Ron solemnly: "Without the help of the church, our Wangting District would have fallen to the heresy's attack long ago..."

Bayev told Ron what happened that year, when the nobles united with heretical believers to invade the Royal Court area.

They drove the people to the sacred square and wanted to perform a blood sacrifice ceremony with tens of thousands of lives to desecrate the icon of the God-Emperor.

This is the most common method used by heretics. Every time they conquer a place, they will desecrate the icon of the God Emperor and then kill all loyal believers.

This kind of blasphemous behavior is absolutely unacceptable to the church, and the church came out in force.

Those fanatical priests and skitarii wielded warhammers and scepters and charged at the forefront, vowing to defend the glory of the God-Emperor to the death!

In the end, the heretical rebels were driven out of the upper nest area, but the church also suffered heavy casualties and was almost destroyed.

Today, only Bishop Donny Moore and several clergy remain in the church.

Ron followed Bayev up the high stairs, while Carter led the guards behind him.

Since this is a church, they all unloaded their heavy weapons.

Soon, a group of people walked into the church hall.

Stepping into the hall, Ron felt a solemn and sacred aura rushing towards his face.

Sunlight shines through the colorful dome that is tens of meters high. Around the dome are carved reliefs of the God-Emperor leading the original body to fight against the heretics.

There are children flying in the air with white wings on their backs and wrapped in scripture strips, and the mechanical parts exposed on their bodies can be vaguely seen.

That is the Cherubim of the Church.

The image of cherubim is close to that of child angels. They are artificial creations, a chimera of flesh and mechanical accessories, and are smeared with special holy oil.

Their status is equivalent to that of servitors, but they have certain independent mobility and intelligence. They are servants of state church priests.

The holy sunshine fell, and the angels flew to Ron's side, singing hymns of thanksgiving to the Supreme God Emperor.

Ron noticed a gaze staring at him, turned around and saw an old priest wearing a robe.

That was the last bishop of the Erth Star Church headquarters, the old pastor Donny Moore. He looked a little old.

His mechanical arm is holding a scepter with the Sky Eagle logo and embedded with scriptures, and his sharp eyes like a falcon are looking here.

Did he see something? Why is he staring at me?

Ron felt a little frightened.

Just when he was worried, Bayev beside him gave a proper reminder: "Bishop Doni's eyesight is not very good..."

Bayev greeted Bishop Doni loudly: "Your Excellency, our governor is here!"

Upon hearing this, Bishop Donnie's eyes suddenly lit up and his eyes softened, and he walked over quickly.

"Praise the God-Emperor!"

Bishop Donny walked up to Ron and held his hand excitedly: "Your Majesty the Governor, you are finally here."

Ron was puzzled by the extremely enthusiastic attitude of the other party.

What exactly is going on?

Bayev seemed to be familiar with Bishop Doni and said directly: "As I said before, our Lord has been attacked by heretics and we need your help to take a look."

After hearing this, Bishop Doni nodded in agreement: "That's natural. I've been waiting for it for a long time."

"Let's get started"

Bishop Donnie looked at Ron with sharp eyes, and then pulled him to the emperor's shrine.

The front of the shrine was filled with candles, exuding the rich fragrance of holy oil.

“You can relax a little bit”

Bishop Donny patted Ron's hand and told him not to be too nervous.

He used his spiritual link to direct the angels to fetch holy water and sprinkle it on Ron, and he read the scriptures and prayed.

Bishop Donny closed his eyes and chanted the scriptures loudly, while angels of wisdom hovered above him, harmonizing for him.

Bayev stood behind the two men, waiting nervously.

He gave Carter a look. They had made plans before coming.

If something goes wrong during the test or Bishop Doney behaves excessively, they will protect the Governor and evacuate the church as soon as possible.

No matter whether Ron fell into darkness or made a deal with the devil, they would follow him to the death.

Such is their unquestionable loyalty!

Halfway through the prayer, Ron noticed an energy similar to spiritual energy surrounding him, exploring his body and soul consciousness.

Sure enough, priests can use powers similar to psionics.

Although they are not psykers, it turns out that their worship and prayers to the God-Emperor can produce psychic-like effects.

Bishop Donnie is using the will of the God Emperor to explore Ron.

If he were an ordinary person, nothing about him would be hidden. Even a powerful psyker would expose his secrets to Bishop Donnie's sight.

No darkness can escape the will of the God-Emperor.

But Ron didn't fall into darkness, and with the existence of Little Sun, his psychic level was much stronger than Bishop Donny's power.

Under Ron's control, the psychic power from the Little Sun quickly protected his consciousness, and deliberately exposed part of Ron Grant's soul for the other party to investigate.

After a while, the power exited Ron's body, which meant that the investigation was over.

Bishop Donnie raised his head and looked at Ron with a smile: "With the blessing of the God Emperor, there are no traces of heresy on your body, and the subspace energy has not had much impact on you.

There is nothing serious about your body and spirit, but your body is a little weak and you need to take a good rest and exercise some restraint..."

As he said that, he gave Ron a look that you know.

Um……

Ron immediately realized that Bishop Donnie was pointing at him, saying that he had kidney deficiency.

He could only nod along.

After all, he had just come out of the Palace of Slaanesh and was indeed very weak.

"Anyway, just take a good rest and you'll be fine," Bishop Doni concluded.

"Your Majesty the God Emperor, just be fine, sir!"

After hearing this, Bayev relaxed completely, and a smile appeared on his usually serious face: "Your Excellency, Doni, thank you very much!"

"I just accept the guidance of the God Emperor and save the lost lambs."

Bishop Donny responded with a smile, and then turned to stare at Ron: "Your Majesty the Governor, I have a question that I need you to explain. You are a psyker now, right?"

Ron's heart tightened, and he suddenly remembered something. The church didn't seem to have a favorable impression of psykers.

The Imperial State Church in many ways represents the Empire itself, uniting humanity with its teachings in the service of the Emperor and the Imperium.

The basic precepts of the imperial state religion are called the creed of the empire.

Including: all humans must believe in the Emperor, hate xenos and heretics, and recognize that psykers and mutations among humans are terrible threats that must be controlled.

All of these commandments were derived from what the Emperor himself preached during the Great Crusade and were held to be Imperial truth.

The priests of the church will basically protect these precepts with their lives in order to remain loyal to the God-Emperor!

When a psyker falls into the hands of the church, there will naturally be no good end.

There is a high probability that they will be imprisoned and sent to the black ship, and transported to Holy Terra for further processing.

"Your Majesty the Governor?"

Bishop Donny looked at Ron and continued to ask: "You haven't answered my question yet."

Thank you, Brother Diqi

Thanks to the boss "Why don't you thank Brother Diqi quickly" for the reward!
